Emergency hospitals are appropriate for potentially life-threatening conditions such as difficulty breathing, collapse, severe trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, prolonged or repeated seizures, toxin exposure, severe pain, or other critical illness.
Urgent care may be appropriate when your pet needs prompt attention but is otherwise stable—for example, vomiting or diarrhea, ear or skin problems, minor wounds, limping, eye irritation, or other concerns that cannot comfortably wait for your regular veterinarian.
